International Academy of Law and Mental Health July 22nd-26th 2024

We are calling for submittions for the upcoming International Academy of Law and Mental Health’s (Montréal, IALMH) XXXVIIIth Congress in cooperation with the Académie Internationale d’Éthique, Médecine et Politique Publique (Paris, IAMEPH) which is being held at the faculty of law at the University of Barcelona from July 22nd-26th, 2024.

The registration fees will include luncheons and special events according to the tradition of the IALMH. 

In the event that there are colleagues who, for special reasons, would need assistance with registration fees, there is a possibility of special assistance.
 

VII Wiosenna Szkoła Bioetyki

Komitet Bioetyki Polskiej Akademii Nauk oraz Centrum Bioetyki i Bioprawa Wydziału Filozofii Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego dziękują wszystkim uczestnikom i wykładowcom VII Wiosennej Szkoły Bioetyki, która odbyła się w dniach 3-5 lipca 2023 r. w Pałacu w Jabłonnie (k/o Warszawy).

Nowy program studiów z BIOETYKI

Zmieniliśmy program studiów magisterskich na kierunku BIOETYKA!

  • Jest jeszcze bardziej „zielony” (nowe przedmioty „Etyka globalna i środowiskowa” i  „Etyka i zwierzęta pozaludzkie”).
  • Jest jeszcze bardziej nowoczesny (nowy przedmiot „Etyka wobec innowacji technologicznych”).
  • Jest jeszcze bardziej elastyczny (ponad 35% ECTS przypisanych do przedmiotów do wyboru; większa liczba specjalistycznych seminariów bioetycznych; wybrane zajęcia oferowane w trybie online).
  • Jest bardziej zwarty (mniej przedmiotów obowiązkowych; zajęcia kursowe i do ograniczonego wyboru wygodnie zblokowane).

Salvatore Engel-Di Mauro, “The Importance of Socialist States’ Experiences for Ecosocialism”, 3rd June, 3 p.m. CEST, online

Salvatore Engel-Di Mauro is professor at the Geography Department and Environmental Studies of SUNY New Paltz. His most recent books are Socialist States and Environment and Urban Food Production for Ecosocialism (with G. Martin). His research areas include soil contamination and acidification, urban food production, dialectical materialism, and socialism and environment. He teaches courses on physical geography, gender and environment, people-environment relations, socialism, and soils. He is Senior Editor for Capitalism Nature Socialism and Reviews Editor for Human Geography.

The seminar is organized within a scope of the project “Ideas of progress and development in the context of climate crisis in peripheral philosophies in XXI century” – National Science Centre, Poland, Opus 22, grant no 2021/43/B/HS1/03354 – realized at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Warsaw, and in the collaboration with “Le Monde diplomatique – edycja polska”, Foundation Instytut Wydawniczy “Książka i Prasa” and Rosa Luxemburg Foundation.
